Lately I’ve had a thing for bright yellows. Maybe it’s because it’s finally getting a bit warmer here in the Netherlands and there are signs of spring popping up. A few days ago I went past Sephora and shopped some new nail polishes in spring colors (since they’re closing down in May I better buy them while I can). So I found this bright yellow one, called L12 Yellow Umbrella, and today I created a quite retro manicure with black, white, and yellow.
I have to say that I was a bit disappointed by this nail polish. Usually the Sephora ones are quite covering but I needed three coats to get a full coverage with this one. When it dried, I saw that it’s actually not shiny or glossy at all, but quite matte.
For the duration, I can’t say anything at the moment since I just put it on, but if it’s like the other Sephora nail polishes you can count on about 3-4 days before it chips off, which is not the best of course.
For this manicure I used the L’Oreal Confettis top coat again, but only on my index fingers. It’s really amazing how versatile those top coats have proven to be.
What did you think about this look? Are you also opting for yellow this spring? Let me know in the comment section below!
